Our goal is to provide a safe and secure method of retaining fibrous garage door insulation sheets to the garage door while meeting the need for a reliable long-term retention method while also providing a better-looking garage door for everyone!

  After installing an insulation kit on my garage door, I was quite proud of myself for having performed such a DIY project. I also dislike handling fibrous material like fiberglass. Later in the week, my garage door had been open for a while and what I saw was very disappointing. I could see pink fiberglass on some of the panel corners and several of the fiberglass insulation sheets were barely hanging onto the panels.

 

  More tape was not going to work, and neither will glue. Adhesives weaken when the door gets hot or cold and fail when combined with the sagging weight of the insulation.

 

  After trying several ways to secure the insulation sheets, the combination of two items seemed to work. They did not interfere with the function of the garage door, so I did the whole door. As I admired the completed door, I saw that this gave my garage door a better-look.

 

This was in February of 2020 and in August of 2022, I had my eureka moment when I looked at my garage door and realized the Insulation Stay-Up Kit

(IS-UK for short) was keeping my fiberglass insulation sheets secured to the garage door panels.
